Special Order Tomato SIX Variety Sampler Pack

SIX varieties of tomatoes included in this sampler pack.  All come from Steve Peters and Kanti Rawal's breeding project to combine heirloom flavor with commercial varieties' toughness, vigor, and high yields, especially under less-than-ideal conditions.

Steve and Kanti's tomatoes are the only ones that consistently perform in our climate - cool-to-cold at night, hot and dry in the day, lots of wind.  I'm excited to try 5 of these varieties for the first time, and to bring back the hugely crowd pleasing Magic Bullet.

Here are the varieties included:

1. Magic Bullet: Plum-type, indeterminate, high yielding, incredibly delicious, brightly colored purple-black with yellow and red stripes.
2. Jersey Breeze: The classic pleated, red "heirloom" look, with rich flavor to match.  Medium sized slicer with high yields on an indeterminate vine.
3. Big Mama: Described as "Extremely vigorous" plants, which, coming from Steve really means something!  Indeterminate plants, late maturing, large, red, juicy, lightly pleated fruit.
4. Granny's choice: Smallish, smooth, firm slicer with classic heirloom flavor.  Very heavy yield on compact determinate plants.
5. California Sungold: Just like Sungold, but open pollinated (which means you can save seed from it) and without the splitting or blossom end rot that are common with regular Sungold. Vigorous indeterminate plant.
6. Plum Perfect: Extraordinarily high yield on compact, determinate plants.  Plum sized, pink fruit with great flavor.

Each packet has about 15 seeds.  All varieties are open pollinated, which means you can save seeds from this year's fruit for next year's plants.
